If you’re not familiar with Lake Rebecca Park Reserve, it’s located just southeast of Rockford, MN and part of the Three Rivers Park District. With farms to the south and east, the park is a lowland area of wetlands with hiking and horse trails, as well as Lake Rebecca itself. Though anyone local is likely to know about the park, it’s still secluded and a perfect getaway from the city without having to drive too far.
Because the park is just a short drive west of Minneapolis on Highway 55, I find myself here quite regularly for hiking and photography, year round. The images below show all four seasons in the park, from Spring through Fall, and into winter when it is advisable to have 4×4 if you want to visit following a fresh snowfall.
